Fin dai tempi degli Antichi Romani, le Acque Termali ed i Fanghi di Abano e Montegrotto Terme (Aponus e Mons Aegrotorum) erano conosciute per le proprietà di sollievo dei dolori articolari.
Le Legioni Romane dopo le Campagne del Nord venivano in questi luoghi e si giovavano dell’immersione nel Fango Termale.
Dopo 2000 anni la Scienza ha dato una risposta al perché dell’efficacia dei Fanghi del Bacino Termale Euganeo:
• Il Fango aumenta il tasso di Endorfine, sostanze prodotte naturalmente dall’organismo, le quali innalzano la soglia del dolore facendo si che questo venga meglio sopportato;
• Nel Fango del Bacino Termale Euganeo sono contenute sostanze che facilitano la ricostruzione del tessuto cartilagineo (cuscinetto ammortizzatore posto tra i due capi ossei articolari).

The Hotel Terme Venezia: Built in the Forties and acquired by the Barillari-Poletto family in 1964, the hotel was immediately enlarged and various services were improved, making it one of the landmark hotels of Abano. In the past 10 years the Barillari-Poletto family, traditionally known for their friendliness and hospitality, has proved its willingness to continuously improve.
